So i recently got back into r/c's (thanks to my brother) i dont own my own car anymore but my brother just bought a firestorm and he just picked up a losi 8ight. he said i can use the firestorm for now, but i am looking for my own, preferably a 1/8 scale buggy. The losi 8ight is out of my price range at the moment, and i came across the Ofna Hyper 7 RTR. how are these? reliability, performance and maitenance wise? if anybody has any info that would be great!

Those are older buggies but still great. You can still find all the parts for them at www.nitrohouse.com. Talk to Rob and he'll hook you up with parts and the car if need be.

I drove the Hyper 7 pro for 3 years and it rocks. I am actually selling my race roller version, it is full on race ready, but it is a race roller only. Have $300 worth of extra parts, and 5 lids for it. Over $1000 worth of stuff for $200.

Acer Racing Ceramic Nitride bearings, Big bore shocks, and Yannick shock towers are just a few of the included upgrades. PM me if your interested. I can send pics.

If you would rather buy a new RTR I would advise it to be one of the most race worthy ready to runs on the market.
