6.2V too much for receiver?
 

I bought a Protek Voltage Regulator for my XRAY XB8 EC that I am assembling (http://www.amainhobbies.com/product_...ducts_id/13509). It puts out 5A/6.2V from a 7.4V Li-Po receiver pack.

My Airtronics FHSS receiver (http://www.amainhobbies.com/product_...ducts_id/16276) says that you should never go above 6V because it doesn't have a BEC built-in...are the extra 0.2 Volts going to fry my receiver :eek:(which means I need to get another voltage regulator that is only at 6V) or should I be ok? Anyone have experience with this combination? Thank you!

i doubt it would do any harm, i tested my 6v 5 cell reciver backs (normal batterys for the first time today and have been using them a year now and all of them read ouput of 6.333 volts

A full charged 5 cell NI-MH 6 volt pack puts
out over 6.5 volts. With that said, I don't think
you should have any problems with a constant
6.2 volts.

No problem, run it.

you should be good up to 7.2 volts. After that you'll start frying stuff

I raced my Xray buggy and truggy using a VXR 6.7 volts regulator for my lipo receiver packs for almost a year now. And , nothing went wrong with my receivers or servos.
