Default K&N Air Filter

Alright I have this really tiny k&n air filter. Its an actual air filter, but they sell them as key chains. ive already asked a K&N employee if these were fake or not and they are not.

I am thinking of running this on my .12 Rb Engine.

Do you think this is a bad idea?

here it is on an old OS engine(not using this engine)

very bad idea,, those are originally made to be engine crankcase breather filters and wont do well enough to protect an rc engine.

The filtering media (believe they still use bleached cellulose) on that filter is sized for particles bigger than what we run in. It will let silt and very fine sand pass through into the engine and you'll wear it out quickly.

+2 - Bad idea!
