I'm relatively new to r/c cars and today I went out and added a Maxxis Slayer to the two cars I have that have not seen the street yet. I got discouraged a few years ago when just starting out and put the cars in storage.

I've never driven them more than a couple minutes and never raced any of them much less a truck... so...

If I get comfortable running this slayer truck around maybe I'll enter the race but again, I'm new to this hobby/sport so I don't know how good a 38yr old newb is going to do against everyone else.

It's time to kick off our track design contest for the Reedy Truck Race of Champions! For those of you who have no idea of what I'm talking about here is some info. We are having a contest to see who can design the best track layout for this years Reedy truck Race! The winning track will be used for this years race and the winning designer will get to race as many classes as he or she wants for free plus other special prizes to be mentioned later. Start working on those layouts and remember that the new track goes in on October 12th so we are running out of time!

The track demensions are 140 ft. long by 55 ft.

All layouts mught need to be modified a little to make them fit but don't forget to include jumps and obstacles!

Feel free to send layouts to jimmy@hotrodhobbies.com or mail them to:
