Hey Marcus...Mark from the track.

Anyhoo.....I couldn't wait. That frigging Ryan Maifield is quite the salesman. My SC8 is on a UPS truck as we speak.

If the Slash had good hooked up tires, 4wd, and a mod motor in it, I imagine you'de get a taste of what the SC8 is kinda about. But just assuming here.

I'm listing crap on ebay today. The thing is SICK!!
Well remember, the SC8 is basically an extended RC8. If I'm not mistaken, they are buggy arms mated to the truggy chassis. And in regards to the 4wd, hooked up tires bit..... even a modded Slayer handles like complete garbage. The SC8 is in a class of its own. I hope you enjoy yours, it will be a little bit until I get mine.

the sc8's look cool going around hot rod this tuesday handles like you'd expected a car derived from 1/8th scale setup...sorry but slayer is nothing compared to it( I like the slash) but the slayer leaves a little to be desired

Got my SC8 today and it's all smiles. Can't remeber being so excited to go drive an RC car this bad.

I wanted to know if anyone had switched out the stock .28 for a .21 due to the .28 being a little much. Anyone?

If so, did you run the 16 Clutch bell? Cuz a 13 I tried was too small to even mesh up.

My Slayer handles awesome the rear is soft but with some oil changes its crazy good handling and jumping also its faster than my buggy with a modded extech so its no chump but I dont think the SC8 and the Slayer are in the same class are they ?

Cool. That's my RedBull car in the vid above. Thanks Marcus!!

Take note that the few times he flips it over that it naturally wants to get back on all fours. The thing is like a cat!! I drove my SC8 for the first time yesterday and jeeez!!!!!!!!! Possibly the coolest RC car on the face of the planet.

I decided to keep it bone stock, except for a chromie AE pipe (just cuz they stay clean looking). But really.....in stock form this car just pleases!! I really can't recommend anything that you HAVE to change. It is RTR vibe, but a very good RTR that leaves no complaints. I did add a reciever battery, which it doesn't come with.

As far a the driveability goes......it's awesome!! It's a little squirly at times, but very stable too...if that makes sense. It doesn't really want to traction roll or flip is what I mean, but keeping it in a straight line can be hard sometimes is what I mean by squirly. I moved the shock ends out on the front and rear and this calmed it down a lot. I was starting to get in a groove and I can tell in time I will be pretty fast with it (compared to a regular 8th scale).

Totally happy!!

Both fun, totally different. It seems people are trying to compare these cuz they are very similar size, and same CORR vibe. These cars are nothing alike!!

That said.....I love both. The SC8 just handles way better. Much more planted because it wieghs 3 times as much.

BUT....you put in a 7.5 brushless get the shocks super dialed, add some wieghts, get some tires in the rear that actually hook up, then the Slash would probably come into the same territory as the SC8. By the time you did that you've spent the same money, and changed the Slash into something it's not.

The Stock Slash is fun to me too. It's a challange on a track. Both different. Both fun!!

I'm getting the SC8 itch. After watching it at HRH's last night it looks like a blast. I've seen 'em run a couple other times at HRH as well. Great looking and durable. IMHO this is what the truggy class should be, realistic looking bad ass trucks.

The SC8 is definitly alot fo fun to drive! I personally think its more fun then the slash. dont get me wrong the slash is a blast but theres no comparison! I just love the fact that I can drift through every corner. And the truck just feels so balanced. Me and a few friends raced at hot rods last week and it was door to door almost the whole time. It was money well spent!

Default pro .28

does anyone know if the pro 28 that comes in the sc8 is a long lasting motor. cuz i've had some that only get 4 or 5 days at the track and then there done.. and also is the ajustments on that motor real tricky??? i hate adjusting motors every second i like motors you adjust once and there good for the rest of the day.. please let me know, i want one realy bad but i know that traxxas 3.3 is bullet proof.
