I got mine this past weekend and ran it on a track Saturday. It is going to be a blast to drive. They've done a great job. I didn't take the time to check all the screws and do a once over and kick myself for that. My engine mount screws came out and ended my fun for the day. I need to go through and check everything (which I should've done before running). But I was too excited to see it on the track.

so where is the best place to buy one, and do they have a coupon code. My local shop said they dont plan to get any since they would rather sell slashes.

Caster Racing is involved. It was my idea to do a 1/8 platform Slash, they just beat us to the punch on this one.....We were too busy working on electric 1/8 scales and talking about doing it...But there will be competition for AE....Didn't mean to hijack, but your concerns are not necessary.

Crap!! More money outta my pocket.

I saw this in a race at my track tonight and I must say it is the coolest RC car I've ever seen on a track!! Period. Wow!!

First thing I noticed is how well it STUCK to the ground. If and when it flipped over, most of the time it would come right back onto it's wheels. Granted a really good driver was behind the wheel, but I could tell the inherant traits of the car were nothing like a Traxxas of any sorts. This thing is dialed!!

Anyhoo....I'm selling a few beaters that arn't getting used. This has RACE and BASH all in one. I'm giving my Slash to the kid and I'm getting a real Trophy Truck. Done.

Blech, really? That's what got me out of 1/8th Buggy and into Gas Truck two years ago, it's like the fast way around in a buggy was to drive like a complete idiot because by some miracle those cars always seem to land upright and not lose any momentum.

Right now I'm having a ball with the Slash, you really have to throw it around to get it to work in corners, and when you do push it a little too hard it'll let you know by getting up on the bicycle. But usually it rolls over so slowly that it's not too difficult to save, unlike a traditional Stadium Truck that'll stay glued, glued, glued, then out of nowhere snap into a wicked barrel roll.

Well....from what I saw, the SC8 is pretty damn planted. It more wants to slide and drift before it will traction roll. And the suspension just seems super "right". This aint even a Slash. I have a Slash and it's fun. I rarley flip that either, but it's ussually coming up short on a jump cuz lack of power. If the Slash had good hooked up tires, 4wd, and a mod motor in it, I imagine you'de get a taste of what the SC8 is kinda about. But just assuming here.

I'm listing crap on ebay today. The thing is SICK!!

Last thought.....

There is a lot of talk and everyone is always concerned with "will it be the next big thing" and do I spend my money only to find out 3 months later I'm the only one at my track with one of these.

My thought....it will be the next big thing. This is not a CRT.5 fad. People are drawn to the look, vibe, and realism of this thing (including the Slash). People at the track were just gathering and in awe of this thing.

This isn't just because it's the newest thing on the block. True it's the latest thing, but it is what RC'ers (and future RC'ers) are really drawn too. CORR is just cool. Everyone knows it. I'm getting one. I don't think It will be ebay'd anytime soon.

I challange anyone to watch the video on AE's home page and then say it's a fad!!

Just my 2 cents.

I asked drake if losi plans too make one, and he said only if sales are strong for the SC8. I really an interested in one, but i just cant pull the trigger on a almost 700 car right now.

If Losi made one, I'd have to get it. I'm too deep into my 8ight to switch to another manufacturer. I'm sure I'd be able to use a lot of my 8ight parts on a Losi CORR truck.
