Default Vspec question

what's ups guys, Until this past weekend I had 1/2 of a gallon through my vspec and I couldn't turn it over by hand. Well this weekend was the first race and I was cleaning the buggy and noticed that I could turn the engine all the way over without any metal binding but with compression. I was running 240ish with plenty of smoke and now have about 1 gallon on the engine and just wondering if this is normal wear? thanks

V-specs are normal to loosen up after they been fully broke-in , about a gallon or so .

Yes that can definately hurt a motor, you better check the rod or replace it.
