I can't speak for the Werks motor but I was running a Picco .28 7-port in my truggy and it had plenty of power, held a tune well and I never had any trouble starting it. I was running OS P3 turbo plugs in it.

Sunday my chassis slapped off a big double, and the switch shut itself off. Runaway, aluminum clutch shoes melted off and the motor revved sky high, breaking the rod... Before I could shut it off. The motor had about 3.5 gallons on it with tons of pinch still. After break in I would run it at 220-230 degrees with moderate smoke, ran like a champ. The only drawback I'd say was it had a little too much power and torque for my track, this was with a 13 tooth pinion.

I just dropped a JPX .28 in it today. It's identical to the Picco .28 except that the cooling head is a different shape and color, the backplate is red instead of bare aluminum, and the restrictor for the carb on the JPX is a smaller diameter than the Picco .28.

The carb was actually pretty sticky and notchy. I ended up taking the carb off my blown Picco and put it on the JPX. I'm upping to a 14 tooth pinion to try and kill a little off the bottom end.

For 220 bucks(the Picco .28 is 195), I think it's hard to beat this motor:nod:

Werk's is made by Sirio..... I am not a fan of Sirio motors, they have weak cranks...as well Sirio powerbands are very soft in the low end which I absolutely hate...... Picco has a better crank and a fuller powerband...JPX 28 all the way !

Trinity EX Tech 24. Also a siro based engine, just a much better design.
NO weak crankshafts over here & enough power to make any truggy sing.
oh also getting 9 mins run tiime.

Also not in his price range, which is clearly 190-220 bucks.
