Default Time for a game of Name That Product!

This is from the June 08 RC Driver. I've emailed the magazine and searched the Internet to find out the manufacturer of the wheel balancer pictured. The only product link the magazine offers is to JB Weld (in case you couldn't find it at just about any hardware store on Earth). The source guide located on page 185 only lists products that were also listed in the articles. Obviously the balancer was not.

Who can tell me the manufacturer of the balancer and, more importantly, where to buy it!

Cool looking but...

"Designed to check balance on 1/10 or 1/12 on-road foam tires, this is the Professional Grade Tire Balancer from Integy."

im guessing "power point" is the manufacture? i found a power point balancer for airplanes made by top flight? http://www.top-flite.com/accys/topq5700.html but i only see airplane stuff there the cones look the same as in the pics.. maybe he used the 8th scale hubs and the centering cones that come witth the balancer to make it work??/

The one on my workbench is reddish pink and says Matt Francis on the base and I know I bought it from Tower. I'm almost sure it was from Trinity, but like a lot of stuff they sell, its prob discontinued.

This is what I use... Comes with everything you'll need except a wheel hex.

I'll see Greg V. from Rc Driver this weekend, I'll ask him who makes that one.

yep thats the 1 they listed but its not the 1 shown in the pics

heres what the 1 listed looks like

http://www3.towerhobbies.com/cgi-bin...ncer&search=Go

the 1 in the pics looks like a better option as you can mark the rim through the hole in the end where as the power point balancer you can't

The Top flite balancer will not work as the magnets are not strong enough . I have this balancer for balancing my boat props and tried a 1/10 wheel and won`t hold .

I use a Top flight balancer for my 1/10 and 1/8 scale off road wheels, the magnets hold them fine, you do have to move the wheel/tire over closer to the main magnet that is supporting the shaft for some extra holding power but it works fine. 1/8 scale truggy wheels would be the only racing wheels that wouldnt be able to be held by the magnets IMO.

The balancer in that pic is the Matt Francis one from Trinity....... Circa 2000 ish, had one, it sucked.

Dubro has the best balancer and its cheap works for anything
