Bhahahaha! Idk about Brain B.. Don't talk that much anymore. =(

Glow starters tend to grow legs and run off.... so i started buying the cheaper Sub C size ones, and putting a $2 wrap on it w/ my name. That cut the legs right off.. This is the longest I've every had the same glow starter, and it still works great.

Really? I have had my dynamite ignitor for over a year and it works great. You can always buy bigger cells for them too.

I haven't tried the hot shots but most twist lock igniters work fine on short bodied turbo plugs (cold body). There are also taller, hot bodied plugs that they will not lock on to. You can still get it to start, you just have to hold the igniter on the plug since it won't lock.

Yep, I have a twist lock RC airplane ignitor (Flight Team?) that has a gauge and works really well but will not lock onto the P3 plug. It's only a pain when I'm breaking in an engine. Otherwise it works great.

+1 super hot shot, had no issues with mine. Charge lasts a VERY long time. I use it on P3 Turbo plugs.

21$, and it tells you if your glow plug is shot or not

+1

I bought mine used and the damn thing will not die. Went a month on one charge I finally got scared and through the back batt in. It went a month best $15 dollars I've spent. Whatever you do just get a rechargable they heat better and last longer. Had a regular c batt charger spent enough money on batteries to buy 3 brand new rechargables. And it never made the glow plug light up like a christmas tree.

Another vote for Super Hotshot ingniter. Everyone that uses one - take a minute and loctite the set screw that holds the barrel - only prob with one I've ever seen. Love the way they last!!

LOL great story, the day I intended to start breaking in my latest motor, my old "generic airplane brand" rechargable glowplug ignitor finally took a dump after, i'd say 7 years. So I grabbed my keys and wallet and headed down the road to the LHS, about 25 minutes away. I got there and WANTED the buy the Team Associated FT one, [great price, comes with a wall charger, and a meter on it] and when I pulled my wallet out I realized I left my credit card on the table at home, from ordering pizza an hour or so prior. So I ended up having to get a Losi one because I only had 15 bucks and some change on me. Other than saying "Losi" on it, it's been a great igniter thusfar, and decently priced considering it comes with a wallcharger [just no meter]. I havent charged it in weeks and it still light glowplugs up so quick it'll startle you.

^that's the one i'm rambling aobut by the way

I've had good luck with my Duratrax igniter. Its about 4 years old now, it hasn't been used the whole 4 years, it did a lot of sitting for about 2ish. Cheap and effective. Comes with a charger, no meter. Small too. Twist lock kind.
