Default Novarossi Engines...

Has anyone used either the Novarossi Plus 21-5K or the Plus 2 367 engine? Would they be good on a truggy?

Please feel free to comment if you have em. Thanks in advance!

They are both good motors to run in a Truggy. Have a buddy that has the 367 in his and it runs like a bat out of hell.

I have been running the plus 21-7BT in an ST-RR and I dont have any problems keeping up with the .28's (mostly OS's) in the infield and I yank em down the straights....plus I'm pitting at 9 minutes and could go longer..but I dont trust my pit guy....I'm on my 8th gallon and it still runs great..you cant go wrong with the Novarossi..I like the 7 port over the 5 port..It just felt stronger everywhere..their about the same price..The 7 was real popular at one of the tracks i use to race at..

I wouldn't be to worried about the 367 , but you will be happy with the 21-5K or KT. depending on what level of racing a Nova N21B with a JP4 pipe will put a smile on ya face....

Thumbs up

Before you buy check out this summer special I found on (4) of the newest top of the line race motors. You might get a little more motor for the same price because of this special. Just a thought...

The Novarossi is a great engine, and will last as long as an RB concepts WS73 L2G, if you decide to go that way. I've noticed many saying they like the P5 series motors and the bottom end they produce.

With either, try out the new Novarossi EFRA pipe... still great power but you have to lean it out as it will bog with your original tune. nce you get power back run time improves DRAMATICALLY. Testing it for our shop at the track we gained 2 minutes on a ten minute engine.

truggy = p5xs or xst ! depends on your tuning skills .
21-5k is an awesome engine also . 367 has alot of topend best suited for a buggy .

or you can wait for the plus 821b , i believe it should be out soon . i have been makin these myself for a while now , one badass engine !!! as far as the plus bearing issues i have a few customers that just send them to me and i replace them with a boca rear main bearing and its dialed the new swiss made bearings are good bearings , 3 gallons so far on one set and they are still good .
happy motoring ,
monty

I run a 21-5k

and overall im happy with it but i am finding its not got a lot of top end

its just over 2 gallons old and is still very tight so no complaints there but it did flame out a few times on sunday i put it down to being out of tune and went about re tuning it, then it was fine it has lots of bottom end but top end and run times are lacking at the moment

its in a rc8 with a 16t bell, so maybe a 17t is the way to go

its also got the new novarossi pipe

its also only getting about 7.30 runtimes, i had a speed previously and was getting near 9mins

it was reccomended to me to get a turbo head for it

What's the best pipe for the P5XS? I'm going to buy another one, probably the turbo plug version. I have the Nova 9886 pipe now, but looking for suggestions for the new motor or should I get the same pipe again?

It's not even broken in yet....The pipe you have might not be for top end..I have the .21-7BT and it's got a ton of top end speed and I'm getting 10+ on run time..But I have about 8 to 9 gallons on mine..plus when it's time to rebuild you can get the .21-7 sleeve and piston and it's now a 7 port..
