Default losi 8ightb starter box?

Will that starter box work with the XRAY 808?

Yes it can....

You can drop it on the losi box and it will start, but there is a little play to find the sweet spot. If your running both an 8ight & a 808 leave it, but if your switching over to a 808, I would move the rear mounting bracket on the box forward approx 1/8" Just dremel the slides 1/8" so rear bracket can move further forward.

I did mine in 30 minutes, and then pinned the rear bracket so it will not move on me. Now I (or anyone) can just drop it, and it will land in the sweet spot every time.....
