I think you were making a joke. However with the Odonnel buggy coming out with a $650 price tag. You can bet all the top brand Kyosho, Mugen, X-ray, AE and Losi are all going to up there prices. I dont see $1000 dollars being out of the question. You know the old saying Monkey see Monkey do. What the hell makes Odonnel think there buggy is worth more than an X-ray.

The pathetic part is there are a bunch of idiots who would glady pay $1000.

my hobbyshop has the zo1b for 550.00 i dont see why this buggy is so pricey its really nothing special. the overall chassis is almost outdated. 13mm shocks cast steering knuckles? to me it looks alot like an old school jammin

Odonnel probably doesn't expect to sell as many kits, therefore they don't manufacture as many parts at one time (or have them made for them), therefore having a per unit higher cost. Creates a higher end user price. They may not even want to put that high of a price tag on it, but to not lose money they probably have no choice. Can't say it's a good strategy, but would you lose money on every kit just to have a competitive price?

Same thing with the BJ4 and B44, higher production capabilities means lower end cost, rather than having to acquire the parts or machine in low quantities.
