Default Too much brake?

Well I was just running the Jammin buggy in the back yard yesterday, I ended up burning up a throtle servo. So I had a hi tec 645 as a spare. I didn't set the EPA for the brakes and when i would get on the brakes they would lock up and I would hear some clicking. Didnt think anything of it at the time but I was looking at the buggy and it felt like front diff was locked. I havent pulled it apart yet but have any of you guys have anything happen like that?
