Default enclosed trailer a must for rc racing

i am in the market for a enclosed trailer and can't decide if it would be worth it or not....my friend has a 7x14 already setup for r/c racing so that is why i am thinking about it. i get tired of unloading stuff out of the back of my truck....but high gas prices have me a little scared too.

I'll sell you our 38' stacker

No seriously though, seems like it would be pretty handy, I see more and more people using them. If the wallet fits then go for it!

Definitely worth it. Buy the right one the first time. Get one big enough, just don't go overboard. My car trailer is a litle too big. Does come in handy for the big races though. Can hold enough stufff for 3-4 guys at the track.

definately well worth it. keeps the wifey off my tail for having my toys all over the house, or garage, and makes going to the track easy.

my buddy has the ultimate rig, rear 3/4 of it for working on cars complete with fold-down work benches, whole thing is wired for electricity which he runs off a generator he's attached to the tongue of the trailer, whole thing wired for sound/tunes, mini-fridge, and he has a little fold-down cot with mattress in the back he can crash on if he's at a big race and needs to stay the night (bumbs a shower off one of us staying in a motel) - and he says he hardly gets any worse mileage towing it than his truck already gets.

Ive been thinking of getting one too. Not to hijack the thread but lets do a poll on what would be the optimum size for 2 people using it. I was thinking 8x16 cause Im a big fella and that would allow ample room behind me for my buddys to walk through. What do you all think.

Oh yeah, has anyone seen a smaller trailer like that with a observation deck? Im thinking that would be awesome but dont know if they build those trailers strong enough for it.

i personaly am not hardcore into rc racing but if i got into it i would use our 24 foot tailer we have for our buggy but then again thats really big im not sure how your local track parking is and tracks u go to... but i would get one small enough to just park in a narmal car spot like a 12-14 footer so its not to hard to find parking and such

24' 12' of pit 12' of living = a/c and no more hotel bills. look around in the papers the toy haulers/ fun movers are pretty popular.

This is a good subject... we've kicked the idea around, but to pit 4 of us we'd need a BIG trailer.

I was SURE I was gonna see a pic of the trailer the Houston "River Track" guys had... lol They took an old camper-trailer, ripped out the inside, put 2 bunks in the back and the rest is a pit area. Total cost was less than $1500 and it already had AC.

They painted graffiti all over the outside... it looks absolutely ghetto... lol

Not all race tracks allows trailers.. I am in process of buying one too, but i held back because some tracks my friends brought thier trailer over. they stopped them from entering the lot.

So, theres 50/50 chance.. its because the trailers and truck takes up too much parking spaces.
