Default Team Orion CRF.21 Good or Bad?

If I could get a review from someone, I'm looking to get a new engine and I'm deciding between a Noarrossi s821b, GRP, OS Speed or this Orion CRF.21

The CRF .21 pics look like no other engine and looks dam nice and really good quality.

Anyone have any experience with all of this engines?

Thanks,

i dont know about the orion, but take the speed out of the picture. Alot of use are having issue with them after a gallon.

I personnally run GRPs, after switching from Vspecs and speeds. I like them, but i think RBs are very good as well.

I have been running the CRF, and have been very happy with it switching from OS engines. I has great power, and great efficiency especially with the CRF pipe.

armstorm the CRF motors really are awesome. they make exceptional power and get pretty decent run time. however, i think many would agree that to get the most out of it you need to pair it with one of the two orion pipes, the 3030 or the 2066. I have been running the 3030 with great run time and great power and not a single problem. Also OS P3 plug are the best for the motor at the moment

run the Orion on a 9886/ 086/short conical header... The Orion is a Picco .21 with a CRF crank... all Picco .21's run like Banshee's on the 086 pipe...

I'm running the CRF engine as well on an Axe rossi pipe and it works very well. I couldn't be happier with it.

What issues are people having with the speed? A few have them around here and haven't had problems.

speeds have bearing problems. Plus all of the Vspec line is getting known as the 1 gallon motor here.

V-Spes, yes....but the Speeds are making the 8-10 gallon mark.

The Speed's are great motors but have flame out a little to often.

we have been trying to tell a local guy here that
the .21 GRP just sounds like its strugging real bad in his Losi 8T

another local guy here had the CRF but has now gone to Siro EVO IV
i know he was having some flameout issues toward the last few times he
was running the CRF

Where I am at too. 4 different people I know with V-specs that lasted a gallon and that was it. Nobody seems to believe it when it is said though. At least we are not the only ones now. There .21 VG's are exactly the same too. I would not touch a OS seeing so many motors last that little length of time. Too bad for NINJA now being made my OS.
