Exclamation Advice/Help about Changing Fuel Types

Need some help guys!!

My local Hobby Shop doesn't have anymore fuel that I used to break in and race my engines but they do carry another fuel type.
I was using Sidewinder 30/12 and now need to use Nitrotane 30/?.... Has anyone used this fuel and what percentage of oil is the mixture. (doesn't say on the can)
Also I've heard its necessary to simulate a break in with running (idle) for two tanks closely checking the temp... Any help or advice would be appreciated!!

Ive never used nitrotane (so i dont know the oil content). If you switch fuel brands you will need to retune a little bit, you dont need to "simulate" break in again you just need to retune

Just retune it and ull be good to go......From the Sidewinder to Nitrotane ull probably have to lean it down a fair bit...as any oily rtr'ish fuel i have even ran in the past needed a fatter setting as apposed to the Race 30 blend.

I should have mentioned that the Nitrotane fuel is the Race30 blend, not the rtr fuel which I think is 20%... I was alil nervous because we are racing tomorrow and I don't have time to play with the fuels today. LOL, I have to do this retuning tomorrow during practice! Thanks guys

What would happen if I added another shim to my engine?

I have 2 lrp .28 engines, and one doesnt run. What if I took the shim outta the broken one and added it to the new one?

thanks

You should be fine the way it is now. Just retune tomorrow during practice.
