Default Werks TL B3 .21 - Head Shimming?

Ive been running a Werks Team Line B3 .21 for a few months now and I absolutely love it, bang for buck for sure. Of course after you change out the stock carb for the B7 carb your golden.

All the talk of head shimming for fuel got me wondering, whats the deal on that? I never had it fully explained to me about what kind of thickness shims i should be running on my engines. I would consult my instructions manual that came with my engine, but its a pure bred race engine and thus has no manual.

Also if anyone knows what thickness head shims I should be running on Werks 30% fuel for the B3 that'd be great. Im also running #8 plugs.

I have the Collari B3 in my Tq as for shims most top engines came ready for 30% fuel ( this was when i ran onroad cant say for offroad but mite be the same) if you run higher % fuel and push the wire in the body you need to add shims as for the thicknes they can range from 0.1mm .15mm 0.2mm for the b3

Leave it stock. Werks engines are produced for the american market, they come out of the box already shimmed for 30% fuel. If you find plugs aren't lasting long then you might add a .1mm but if your plugs are lasting then leave it alone.

A friend of mine got a B3 Pro in used condition. What is the stock shim config? It came with 4 copper shims. Is this correct? Thanks!

I had a b3 and checked the shim thickness and it came out to .030
I thought that was quite a bit for only 30% fuel. Can anyone confirm this?
