dumb diff question
#2
i always fill mine to the top off the gears... i let it settle for a minute or two and then top it off if needed
#3
yes you can overfill..
thats one of the biggest overlooked problems with leaky diffs.
fill just above the crosspins

remember the opposite gear must go in the diffhousing too till the center...
an overfilled diff can give erratic beheavior of the buggy
as the oil gets warmed up , it expands
and oil must get a way out whatever
it can almost block the diff action in the beginning

if its overfilled the extra oil will just push out past the seals and take the rest of the oil with it...

how is the pic I posted imaxx?
Im nt 100% sure if thats the proper amount, I actually ended up putting a little more than that, and I also had a bunch of oil that was still on the other gear, its 7000 so its thick and stuck onto it.
