pretty much guys . i really want to go to the man. cup this year but i cant . too much dam work !!!!! if i can make enough money with rc products and engines i can just quit work !!!

I buy used motors all the time. You remember you get what you pay for. Like everybody in this thread is saying the motor fuel/life spand depends on the present operator.
When I get a used motor, I check compression, bearings, carb, the whole nine. If I think there is something wrong, I just replace the area where there is a problem. My best motor that I ever ran was a used Nova 12-ct. That at the time had a gallon through it. I know that Nova's break in right after a gallon. She runs great even to this day.
Be sure that when you buy a used motor that the motor is a quality one. There is a lot of garbage out there.
