It is called the Caster Score.
Cool! Another one to choose from. I'm impressed with how far along Caster has come as a new manufacturer.

It might be 1/8th Buggy based, but I brought up in another forum that that doesn't necessarily mean it will be just a converted 1/8th Buggy.

I noticed that the graphics kit is made out for Ricky Johnson's Pro-2. Now why would Associated advertise a 4WD R/C truck with a 2WD paintjob? Steve Barlow's Pro-4 uses the same scheme, just a different number.

So here's my latest theory: The truck shown in the photos is an RC8 chassis with a center spool and no front drivetrain, making it 2WD. Similar to what Traxxas did with the Sportmaxx, Associated will then release a kit containing a center diff, front diff, and driveshafts to convert the truck to 4WD to generate another class. So you could race 2WD or 4WD with the same chassis.

Well. ours will be buggy based as we see no point in reinventing the wheel. What will be nice is the option of 4wd or 2wd.....

I just wish AE would show some prototype pics, etc....

The closer they stay to their buggy platform, the lower their production costs will be and the more likely there will be another class invented as it will be similar to ours.

We are looking at it as a possibility to create a new class and bring more people into the hobby because of the looks.

See that's just it...if I'm right it would be RC8-based and you'd be free to pick your poison when it came to drivetrain.

hehe, it'd be pretty sweet if it came with a rear spool & that became a rule for the class

What are you waiting for then? A spool is just a tube of JB weld away with a 1/8 scale buggy.

If the goal is not being in new people, the Traxxas versions of stadium trucks will always win.

Loving the tube work on it , never expected that .
If it's running an RC8 centre diff i'm converting one to brushless with an RC8 brushless motor mount .

is the rollcage plastic or alu/steel? i know it would be heavier and more expansive. but with a non-plastic rollcage it would also have the scale-feeling when you touch it, not only the look.
