Default much more charger issues????

I have a MUCH MORE charger for my reciever packs, I keep getting a false peak on both my packs when I try to charge them. They are 1700 packs and i can only get 300 into them. If anyone can help. I would deffinetly appreciate it.

Try Setting the Charge Rate at a little less than 1C.

1C = Capacity of the battery. 1700MaH battery would equall a 1.7 Amp "C".

I would try charging at 1 Amp.

See if that helps.

What DavidR said. Except if the packs are really dead, you might even have to go lower. I just did several for a buddy that had been sitting for a long time. I had to do both Rx packs at 100 mah for 5 to 6 hours before I could bump the charge rate up. I keep a regular wall charger around for things like that. It doesn't peak detect, so I can just put the batteries on for awhile and not worry about false peaking, then just switch them to my charger later.

I have been charging at 1.2a, so I will try it at 1. Thanks for the help.

Are you sure the packs are discharged? If not, 300 may be all they'll hold. We can usually go through 3 heats and a 10-minute main and only use 450 mAh out of a 1200 mAh pack

Doh! Good point. If the packs are full charged and have actually peaked then they should feel a little warm when finished.
