Default RC8 Inner Hinge Pin Rear Suspension

I just lost my Inner Hinge Pin on the left Rear Suspension on my RC8 and ordered new ones. Is this common for them to slide out?

You need to run washers on the little screws that hold the hingpins in place.

Why did they make the screws with the heads too small to hold the hinge pins in place... that's odd. Okay thanks for the tip. Do most guys drop washers on to these two screws?

Would these work you think?

Or just go to Lowes or Home Depot and pick up some?

They are smaller than that... 2.5mm I think. The service pack actually comes with the washers and they are a running update they have done to the car.

Or you can just upgrade the B and D plates and never worry about it again.

I noticed that A-Main is selling the Buggie with the Service Pack Included but not the Service Pack by itself. How can I get it? What does it cost, and what's included in it?

If you have one of the 1st shipments of RC8's they didn't have the upgrade package in the box.

call AE customer service. they will hook you up. package is free. they probably will ask for proof of purchase.

The A B C and D plates are the metal plates that the inner hinge pins run through. A is in the front, and D is at the back of the car where you pin came out.

There is a form you fill out and fax or send in to AE and they will give you the service pack and a new tank for free.

Search amainhobbies.com for M2C RC8. They make updated A, B, C, and D plates for the car. The D and B plates are most critical, and they use the factory suspension pills to eliminate the metal to metal wear on the B and D plates. The rear kit is $40 and comes with 2 plates for adjustable rear toe in, and the B plate is $20. They are super strong, and have optional holes to bolt the plates to the chassis for more strength.
