Overtightening it is just as bad as leaving it loose. The threads are only aluminum and can strip really easily. You just need to snug it up good with the wrench.

I agree. overtightening is actually worse, If you strip the threads in the button head then you gotta get a new one thats far more expensive than a glowplug.
