Default Official Hyper 7 Thread

I think this is more of what everyone is looking for. One thread where one particular buggy can be discussed to everyones hearts content. Please post all comments, questions and anything else pertaining to this buggy in this thread.
Ill be putting up some pics of mine ASAP, has anyone tried the Carbon Fibre or Graphite shock towers? i have a rear one that is 3mm thick but i think that one will break easyly, and the front one i have is 4mm - 5mm do you think it is worth putting on??
Cheers
Mike

Someone that I race with has Fiberglass Shock Towers on his Hyper 7 PCR. He said that they hold up pretty good too and I'm sure that fiberglass is much cheaper than carbon fiber too. I'm not sure how thick his fiberglass towers are though.

I ground down the wing mount and ran the stock alumnium tower backed with the carbon tower. The alumnium alone will bend over time, and the carbon alone could break. The PCR towers wont bend.

I have a bunch of spare and hop up parts for the car if you are interested.

Hyper 7 is a old model buggy, but is built like a tank. Good buggy as I can say.

Now there is still lots of guys playing with Hyper 7.

Cheers

Think Hyper 7 is better than Hyper 8 and 8.5.

Yes the Hyper 7 is very strong and can kop some pretty strong hits, at my track there is a tree and the end of a approx 50-60ft straight and i plowed straight into it at top speed, i thought nar i cant continue somthings gotta be broken after that, then i just drove off, it was like it didnt happen, i inspected the buggy that night and found no brakes/bends anything! ONE TOUGH BUGGY, thats probably why its a tad on the heavy side but hey at least you dont have to buy parts all of the time, anyone got any gd setups and stuff for this buggy?? mine is setup perfect, ive got 25wt oil all round with original holes (not been drilled out), and my diffs... well i have to tell you when i remember whats in them lol,

cheers

Mike
