you could try a 13 tooth clutchbell.

are you sure you're not just spinning the wheels? I ran that combo and it was retarded torquey.

I am no pro at werks motors but I know someone that is sponsored by them he runs the same setup with the 1.1kyosho spring and the mugen composite shoes with the ofna clutch bell.

The ofna clutch bell is a little larger than most others allowing more time for the shoe to work.(more stall rate)

P.S.make sure your clutch shoes are going the right direction.

do you have the heavy spring for the clutch? If not that is your problem I know this from using that for a year or so.

yes, i do have heavy springs for the clutch. are you saying that i should use the heavy springs in the clutch. i was thinking that the heavy springs would give it less torque due to the higher rpm to engage the clutch. am i wrong or does it make sense? thanks Mike

think of it like a real car when you dump the clutch. more stall to a certain point will give you more off the line power. you just have to find the power band.

First thing to do is change to the 13t clutch bell. Also, you might just not have a good balanced tune. Maybe too lean or rich on the bottom? This engine/pipe is well known to be a power house so aggressively clutching it should not be necessary, especially with a buggy as light at the 8ight. Try the stock 8ight clutch with two alloy/gold spring and two composite/green spring shoes. That might be the best clutch I have ever used.

I ran an 053 pipe on mine in a MBX5T and it made tons of power, especially on the low end. I could clear jumps with a short run up that almost no one else could. It made more power than my C6BB by far. I tried the 2013 pipe but didn't like it as much so I stuck with the 053. Mine lasted for 10 gallons, ran awesome the whole time. I think you should definately go to a 13t bell, and possibly get some help with your tune. If you go too lean the engine really drops off fast in power. The balance between high and low can be tricky to get, but it stays in tune once you find it. So be patient and work on your tune. Pick up an 053 pipe if you don't have one because they work great on pretty much every motor.
