P5XS comes with #6 glowplug. I don't think your bogging is lean, as I have ran several P5X engines, and then bog if its too rich. If they're too lean, they run hot, but they will still produce power, unless it overheating, then the power will decrease, but not bog from my experience.

I'm running a p5xs in a mugen mbx5r. I get great mileage about eight minutes
per tank. I am using an novarossi 9886 pipe,short manifold,Odonnell 20% and
a mc8 medium plug; the engine runs great with good power.
The mc59 is an hot plug mainly for small block engines using 20% nitro or less.
If are using 25% nitro with stock head shims, I would try a medium plug like
the stock novarossi #6 or an Odonnell #99. Hope this helps

I am also running my race ported P5XS in an RC8 with a 7.25mm insert, a JP1, RB Concepts 8 cold plug and TQ 30/12 and I am averaging 9-10 minutes on a tank depending on temp, humidity and of course driving style. You should be getting at least 7-8 minutes with the stock 8mm insert. Not sure where you run, how you drive and how you tune motors but that should be your target number.

I run mine with the 59 and jp-2 pipe. I got about 9 mins with the stock restricter and then put the 6.5 resticter in it and get 10 minutes easy. INSANE power and about 210 deg. I put the smaller restricter in to tame the bottom end. I have a happy trigger finger so I'm usually not good on fuel runs anyway. Next race I'm going to try mixing up carbon and alum. shoes to take away some more bottom.

I am running the P5XS in an MBX5R with a Dynamite 007, OS8 plug and Nitrotane 30%. I get right about 8 min at 225-230 degrees. Air temp is usually mid 70's. Thats at our outdoor track. At our smaller indoor track I get about 9 min running the same set up.

Avoid the JP-4 pipe as it is known to be a fuel hog. JP-3 does well instead. Best pipe is the 9886 pipe with Novarossi long smooth flow header. 8 minutes minimum with blistering top and massive bottom end.
