Hi all, I just have a question about fuel mileage.

I am currently running a 2008 p5xs with a 8mm carb insert, jp3, on a technical clay indoor track and I currently average about 9:30-9:45 a tank. If if switch to a 6.5 or 7mm carb insert could I easily go 10mins? How much more mileage would I get?

I would say you would be able to do 10mins with a 6.5 or 7. If you are already getting close to that 10 should be easy. might even get 11. I have run my novarossi plus 21-5k(very simmilar to the p5x) on a tight indoor track with 8mm restrictor, JP-1 pipe in my losi buggy with tank block removed. I got around 10 with this setup. I'm sure I could get more with a different restrictor and pipe(I like the bottom end of the jp1 on the tight track) but we only run 10min mains with 1 mandatory pit stop.

when I first started to run my p5x my bottom end was way to rich I had my idle to high and I was getting real bad run time once I fix that the motor came alive and I started to get 7-8.5 min. run time. check your bottom end

I Just realized the post was started in 2007 I hope he still isn't have the same problem
