Default Alabama Off-Road Racing along I-65

Hey guys,

I'll be headed down to Gulf Shores the weekend of July 12-13 (next weekend) and I am looking for a place to stop along the way to do some 1/8th buggy racing.

Can anybody recommend a track that has good turnouts on for either Sat or Sun racing. I would like to be around the Birmingham or Montgomery area but really anywhere down through there will be fine. I don't mind if I have to drive an hour or so off I-65 either so hit me up with some suggestions and links to websites so I can check them out.

Thanks
Robbie

Dothan is not racing this weekend. We race the 3rd Saturday of every month. Most of the Dothan racers will be at the Onion Patch this weekend. Great track and great people, worth the drive.

I'd like to hit the onion patch but that is a lil farther off our course than my wife is willing to be.

I talked to someone at this track today...

They told me they had a test and tune race on Sunday to make sure everything was working and hope to have a good crowd out this weekend.

Right now it looks like that will be my stopping point. Do you happen to know what tires work on their track?

Also any tracks in Birmingham. That is where my wife wants to be while I'm racing so I wanted to know if there might be a good track that is a little bit closer to Birmingham.

Thanks

bow ties or crime fighters the track is a little loose. also if your running a 13t clutch bell you may want to go up to a 14t. the track has almost a 200ft straight and is open so mid to top speed is where you want to be
