personally 1st one it has the ally head which although heavier than the magnesium version works better at getting rid of heat, i dont know about eb mods so wouldnt get one doesnt mean they arent any good though

if i was feeling more in a humorous mood instead of working i would of suggested the one with the broom to go with your witch

I have had all but the top one in the pics
Which ever your budget allows. Any vspec is a good motor
The Speed motors work better with the Speed 2060 or 2050 pipe.
The stocker is not a bad choice either.
Sorry i know that does not help much

I was going to get the stock blue headed one but ended up going another route. Or I would get he EB mods version of the blue head to match the exaust you have. I belivethe EB mods version comes partially broke in with dyno charts on the mill to which is a HUGE +.

Get the stock one. Nothing either of the other two offer is worth the extra cost. The stock 'spec will go 10+min on a tank (I don't know about the pipe you have, that run time is common with the 2050) and has more power than anybody needs. Spend the money you save on tires or something.

The difference in the Speed and stock V-Spec is power delivery and the crank lasting though a P/S/R rebuild.
Low budget= V-Spec, More money= MAG Speed.
I have not had any heat issues with both of mine comparing it to the AL version Speed.

Other choice, Maxy's Modded V-spec. WIll be more than stock VSpec and should be less than Speed.

the o.s. speed is an outstanding motor to say the least.....You will not be disapointed with the out of the box performance.. easy to tune and has tons of power.. I have the o.s. vzb aswell (blue head) modded by mark of powerhouse mods and it screams ... I have them both set up with the max life dyn. alum shoes, 13t racers edge vented cb with the ttr 2035 pipe...

other choice is new ninja made by OS, is cheaper than speed but also comes with hardened crank and does seem to go quite well

i have been lucky enough to run both

stock blue head and the speed ally head

im probably going against what some people will say but i prefered the blue head massively

i kept my blue one for 4 gallons before bearings went and i cba to change them so sold it as a repair jobby, bought a speed kept it for 2 and sold it

wasnt imressed by it at all im thinking of buying another blue head and keeping as back up to my rossi which is superb my first one!!

I too have been wondering which of these motors to purchase...

Our local track is a little weird... Very wide open in spaces but tight and technical in the infield.

The few jumps we do have have a very short run up to them. It's more of a tight techinal track that favors alot of bottom end punch. Yet you still need upper end power for the outer portions of the track that are wide open.

Would I be better going with a Modded Standard V-Spec or an OS Speed Mag? (I would probably have the OS Speed modded as well dependent on the answers to my next question..)

Also.. How well does the OS Speed respond to being modded since it's already somewhat modified from the factory?

Thanx for the input.

-David
