Default running 30% tq fuel in a c6bbT

i am switching from 20% byrons to 30% tq fuel in my c6 bbt....question for ya is do i need to add a rb .1mm shim for 30%. thanks guys!!!

I would and do on all my RBs running 30%. If you don't add a shim you will want to run a cold plug.

Most engines come in the box setup for 25% and they recommend that. These numbers are conservative and if you are a half way decent tuner you won't have to touch it. In fact I usually take a .1 shim out of most of my personal engines when I run 30% because i get more torque but the tune has to be spot on if you do that. Most people add shims as a safety measure but you can also do it if you want to calm down the low end. Less compression ratio equates to less initial torque but may add a few more rpms on top due to the fact the motor doesn't have to fight as hard to compress the mixture. So basically its up to you if you want to add the shim or not but it is not required.

Lowering the compression also increases mileage.
