I just got a new rr eight, couldn't find the kit at my LHS. Anyway, I'm going to go threw it. But I'm courious what setup comes from the factory. I'll be running at JCG's in Dallas, and going to put the "Truhe" set up in it. Will that work there?

Most people I see struggle to keep the buggy handling as well as it does out of the box. Race roller or RTR.

The setup on the roller is supposed to be easier to drive than the setup in the kit.

I know that eveyone likes there buggy to handle different but I didn't like the set up on the race roller right out of the box

The Mike Truhe setup will work at any track. I have used it and it ran well at just about every track in arizona and california.. from wet loam to hard packed blue groove.

Anybody tried Casey Peck's setup from RCsetups.com? I noticed it was the most downloaded but haven't been able to here from anybody that has tried it

If you notice there is a trend based on the time of the posted setups. People tend to be using more camber and looking to get more camber gain as the arms are being compressed. They are also trending towards lighter weight anti-sway bars. I would say this is a good bet to follow. Look at the camber of 1 to 2 degrees in the front and 2 to 2.5 degrees in the back. use the lower anti-sway bar and reduce the spring size in the front. this will give you more steering in the corners, and limit traction rolling. If this is what is being discovered by those willing to share you probably can see your answer from the trending of all the posted setups when you sort the setups by date. Lose soil or tighter track changes some basic shock and spring setups and diff fluid, but those are easier to understand when you see the setup guide. on the team losi site.
