Cool Newbee Q - Hitec servos

Can anyone tell me what these servo's would be like for throttle and steering in a 1/8 buggy.

Hitec HS-945.

i know they are now discontinued, but i have found somewhere selling them for AU$35 each.

Is that a good price for these servo's and will they do the job...

i'm only a beginner, but do want something strong and relatively quick without spending in the 100's.

thanks in advance

These are the analogue ones and should work fine.
Where did you find them for 35$Au?

i haven't done a search yet, but will soon, but hope you can help me in the meantime anyway

whats the difference between analogue and digital servo's...

would i be better off paying AU$69 for digitals of the same strength and speed.

the tx and rx i'm running is JR XR3 DIGITAL FM WHEEL RADIO-3 CHANNEL.

can you tell me if i have to run digital with this radio system..

Digital servos and analogue ones run with any TX and RX.
Digital servos respond a bit faster and perform at their maximum from the slightest movement.
Analogues need to turn a few degrees until they put out there maximum power. It's like a curved power delivery when the digitals are level...always at maximum.
I hope you know what i mean.
Digitals also drain batteries a bit faster than analogue.

At AU$39 i say go with the 945.

thanks for your replys so far.. after that last message of yours and doing a search through the forum i thought "yup they are a good servo for me".. went to the web site http://www.teamtwisterhobbies.com/ to place my order to be greeted with a $26 delivery fee.

that works out to be $48 / servo when the new models are only $69.

i thought $26 for 2 servo's was bloody steep considering they are small and don't weigh much and could easilly fit in an overnight bad for $8.

we'll see waht they say, otherwise i'll spend some money next week at the local hobby store and buy something a bit newer.

I don't know how the prices equate... but don't "cheap out" on servos. I learned the hard way. Get the Hitec HS5955TG and be done buying servos for a while. The less expensive ones are not less expensive in the long run.

The 945 is a good servo fot 1/8th You might get a 925 for throttle if they are offering that for the same price. It's faster and you'll notice that more on throttle, you don't need more than 100oz torque on throttle. Digitals are a little nicer but they would cost you double-triple that cost, they aren't any more reliable/durable and as you posted, you're a newer driver, the performance difference won't be noticable to you for a while.

Will they ship these to the US for that price?
