Check the warranty on those Hobbico/Tower rebadged Hitec servos, Hitec has far and away the best warranty/service in the game but they might not service these. That would be worth the extra $25.

I can't drive with the 645MG for thr/brakes. Way too slow. I raced electric for years (going back 20 years now, dang I'm getting old.lol) and now I drive my best with the fastest servo I can find.

I run and recommend the JR Z9100S for throttle/brakes. It's got more than enough torque (180 in. oz.), and it's stupid fast at 0.06 transit speed. Couple that with a constant input voltage that a LiPo setup gives, and it's almost reacting before you touch the trigger. A few of my fellow racers said they can't drive with my radio system, it's way to responsive...lol. That's the way it has to be for me now...

The hitec 645mg will get the job done, it depends what your doing w/ the buggy. If your bashing it in ur yard than that's fine but a weekly visitor to the track w/ qualifiers, mains, and it won't last. It will get beat up and brake. I've gone thru countless servos in the 12 years or so I've been running nitro, all the way back to the super athlete and nitro hawk. It's $35 for a reason. Take a look at some futaba, air. or Ace servos too. Good luck!!

5955 and 6975 for me..... bomber and reliable

Hitec has the best warrantee out there..... 99% of the time they just replace it with a new one... killed 9100s and 4800s in no time, and get the run around from JR...... gears stay tight in the Hitecs, JRs slop up in no time, Airtronics IMO isnt even a contender anymore, they blew theyre distribution channels this year and I unloaded everything Air I had... had to carrry gears with me anyway which I didnt like, Hitecs dont need a support system they just work.

I would go with a Airtronics 94357 or 94358. Great servos thats all I run.

Here is the ultimate throttle / brake:

14kg @ 0.07 sec

I guess this one is capable to simulate ABS braking ( if your radio has ABS function, or if your forefinger can vibrate )
