Default Which Panther tire?

For a 1/8th buggy, which panther tires are closest to these proline tires?

Crimefighter M2
and
Bowtie M2

I am wanting to give a set a try mainly because I can get the panthers much cheaper and I just want to give something else a try.

There's a tire that is almost ready for release called the "boa" that is similar to a bow tie.

Thumbs up The dark art......

Panther equivilants...
M2 compound is much like the med soft compound offered by Panther.
Crimes are like Gators. Gators have just a little smaller pin. If you need more you could go to Komodo Dragons.
The traction setup for your car will be different and will need to be tuned in.
If the tire feels edgy, try flipping the foams and cutting the edges. I run Komodos flat with the edges cut to make them smooth and fast compaired to Crime Fighters.

With the Panther product you can also go to harder foams for the softer compounds. Grey foams work great!

The new Boas will be more like Bowties.
The Raptors are like Hole Shots but they are more tunable.
Hope this helps,
TEX

You're right...I meant the Boa's for the BT's. I have not ran the Raptors yet.

Popular opinion also says that the Gator runs better with a stiffer foam. The casing of the tire is thinner than most making it seem softer.

i dont know on the foams, last year i ran molded but it seems when the track gets rough i like the stock foam better. we go thru tires so fast, im just having a hard time spending the extra cash.

Allen try a softer tire, more grip = less spin = longer tire life.

I prfer the gators when the track has a nice grove to it, with the shorter pins the tires seem more planted than do the crimefighters. If you find your self off line more often than not I would stick with the Crimefighters.

Keep an eye out for the new Boa!!! A few guys were running this new tire at the Nats and it is a great tire. Along with the Raptor, Gator, K2's and the great compounds we have about every application covered!

I like the K1's better than the K2's. For some reason I get better turn-in with the K1's.
