The servo failure did not really bother me much. If I am put out of a race by something I cannot control, that is just racing. If I fail to finish because of the car itself breaking, that is another story. Failures like that are completely my fault and due to bad driving, or bad car prep, and those are the ones that bother me. I missed my 2nd qualifier because my reciever pack died. I'm still kicking myself about that one.

In the A Main I was in 3rd, from an 8th place start, and was a second faster a lap than anyone else on the track before the failure. Also, the last 6 laps I ran were within 3 tenths of each other. It was a moral victory for me.

The servo failure was my fault though...too tight putting the horn back on. The servo burned almost completly through the bottom.
Just another reason to get back out there the next week and keep on giving it my best

First time i had heard the HoBao name used in the U.S, didn't think the Hyper was in the U.S. Don't recall seeing one when i was over last! Plenty of them here in the UK and they are pretty solid. I should be back in cali for a few months and will no doubt race at revs, curious as to how they will run on U.S tracks up against the usual suspects!

We have no problems running them on our Supercross tracks out here. As for comparing them to other vehicles, we hang with the best out there. Kyosho, Jammin, Losi. It's not the car 90% of the time, it's the driver. One of our team drivers has won two weeks in a row with his 8.5 and Nitrohouse and I are usually in the top 5. Break out the cars and lets go racing, hit us up when you get back stateside and come join us for some fun.

Three of our team members run the 8.5 in the beginner class. Myself and Chris C run the ST in Amateur class. Nitrohouse is in the expert class. Usually with the turn out in truggy they put beginner/novice together and Amateur/Expert together. So we're usually racing together which makes it difficult for pitting duties.

Not sure who IAN is bro! We aren't actually a part of the TRUE Team Hobao, we're a small group of people that all drive Hyper's and enjoy each other's company.
