Hi guys

I have been racing at the northern rivers track in bangalow NSW which is an awesome track and getting more and more setup and now they're running 20and 30min mains, I would like to know how you guys time your pit stops without using a pitman to do it for you...

I was hoping my 3pk could do it for me but i can't figure out the best way to use the timing function.

I set the alarm for 6-7mins for the first pit stop but when the clock counts past 12-14min mark it doesnt sound another alarm for the second pit stop so you would have to keep a watch on the screen for the 12min mark...

can you get the 3pk to sound 2 alarms in 1 race or do you have to reset the timer aftert each pit?

I have switch 1 set as start/stop, switch 2 as reset and i have the timer shown as the default screen..

I reset my clock each pit stop....2 clicks of the button and ur good to go.

were in the same boat no pit man fuel yourself and what most of us do is get a battery operated cooking alarm and attatch it to the radio, some of us have single timers some of us have dual and more timers which can be set for different times and started simultaneously so first alarm goes off you can stop it while the second or third are still going it works well.

Man, you guys have to pit yourselves? It must be hard making friends out there? I don't think I could do it if I had to run up and down the stand every 8 minutes.

Time each tank your car makes. Devide mains total time by tank time.

Also make sure you work in a safety margin for incase you miss your pitstop.

Lipo conversion comes to mind.......

Here's what I do to be sure of a pit man. My son and I alternate weeks. One week he pits and the next I pit. Every other week I get to race and same with him. We are a team and its cheaper to race. Pitting is part of racing so we get
our fix just being there.

And I would tune to about a 7 minute run and pit at 6.45. There's a lot of tricks out there to get 10+ minute runs. Like putting a .12 carb on your .21. If your that serious? Throttle control is good to.

if its a 30 minute main i like to push it to 7 1/2 minutes.. i have to ease on the throttle to make it..
