GRRR!!!!

i took a step in the right direction today, but its still agrevating, I am a person of great patience, but this engine is testing it!.

I got the engine to fire up and I ran 1/2 a tank through it, but then it ran out of fuel, and stopped, and i can't get this fired up again.

I know its not the s/b, if it can start it once it can start it again.

no matter what i do, heat up the engine, loosen up the plug, create a voodoo doll of the engine.... nothing can get it to start again...

I have notice it keeps getting stuck at top dead center, and I need to use needle nose pliers to loosen the flywheel up again...

but once I slap it back on the s/b it locks back up again, I have tried letting the wheel spin for a few seconds before slapping down the car.

Try this, next time its stuck and you free it up. Looking from the front of the buggy, rotate the flywheel clockwise until you feel it just get into the pinch area. Since the motor rotates counterclockwise (when viewed from the front) this will let it turn about 3/4 of a round before it gets to the pinch zone again. This should carry enuff momentum to power thru the pinch zone.

Make sure you are clearing out all the extra fuel before trying to start it. Just be patient, you are on the right track.

If all else fails, find someone with a break in bench and offer him a few bux to break it in for you. Just make sure he uses some sort of shroud to allow the motor to get up to temp. Breaking a motor in cold is death.

Good job. Enjoy it. Now before you get another one seriously consider upgrading your starter box.

Good job. Next time it will be easier for you. Clearly, you don't need a new starter box.

I dont think it was the starterbox....

the wheel would aways spin, but slip, and if it did stop thats because it was rubbing on the chassis...
