Default 8ight Rear Shock Tower Upgrade?

Hey,

Today I broke my rear shock tower into pieces. So before I run out and replace it with the losi one, I was wondering if I should be considering a KingHeadz or Xtreme Racing version?

Does anyone have any experience with these or is the best product the Losi rear shock tower?

Even for the RtR, the rear wing and the cooling head tend to protect the shock tower fairly well; I'd hate to see the rest of the car.

Naw, they are totally different. the pro is 4 mill milled an annodized grey.

rtr is silver and thinner stamped aluminum

so, you broke it before you bent it? Wow

Maybe you should ask yourself WHY you broke the original one.
Becuase it's been my experience that upgrading seldom fixes a problem if the actual problem is either driver error or abuse.

It was definitely driver error that blasted this thing.

Since I have to get a new rear tower, the question is.. Is there a better tower then the Pro kit version. Since I have to buy one anyhow...

It's been my experience that there are two ways of looking at any sort of replacement part or upgrade: 1) is it going to work better and thus worth the cost; or 2) am I just as likely to break that one (or something else connected to it because it's stronger) because I broke the first one (driver error) and thus might it be better for me to go the cheaper route and afford to replace it 2 or 3 times for the same cost of the upgrade.

And that, my friend, is up to you to answer

Hi Stick with the Pro version shock tower,I've owned this truck for over year and race a few times a months, and never have had a problem with either of my shock towers! And I have no mercy on my trucks! Plus you can find them on Ebay for cheap.Kingz Headz are around 35.99 at A-Main,the stock pro tower is 26.99.

I have severly abused my Heavy Duity diffs in my LST2 racer and 8ight, neither has "blow up". I know if you don't put them together right they can bind, so you might want to pay attention when you assemble things.

Yes it was put together correctly.... It certainly cant be assembly problems when 3 seperate people blow up losi diffs at the same race... Just losi diffs...
Odd huh?
No wories! I just ordered an aluminum diff for the center, if that works I may swap out the other two?
