Starter Box Lipo
#31
If the regulator is downstream from the switch in a receiver box, how is that different than a motor being downstream from the switch in a starter box?
If the battery is not plugged in to the system, it can't be drawn down by anything in that system.
Whatever......it's your money and cells you are risking so have the hell at it in wantever manner blows your dress up.

So what's the difference?
Rather than play the role of jaded expert who's tired of explaining the obvious to clueless knobs, thrall us with your acumen professor and explain what would put a battery at risk in a receiver box with a switch between the cells and the potential load, while a starter box with a switch between the battery and potential load is no problem at all.

The pack will only deliver what the load asks for. It's not gonna cram 120 amps into your box just because it capable of delivering that much.....and if your box is pulling 120 amps, then you would have smoked a lower mah pack anyhow. I'd look for another cause.
