Anyhow, I run 20% and am plenty competitive. My engines last, less nitro equals less stress on your motor. It seems like a waste of money. I need my motors to last as long as possible.
just my $0.02
IFMAR set a rule making 25% the max for 1/8th, 16$ for 1/10th. No such rule exists in the US at this time. As long as the racers will buy 30 and the manufacturers can get the nitro they will keep making it. Unfortunately supplies are running short for the time being.

If I remember correctly...VP does not produce Nitrotane. VP came up with the formula and sold it to Losi. I work for an oil company here in SoCal and just after the Nitrotane came out I was interested in stocking it our office...since we do sell the VP and Sonoco brand race fuels. I was put in contact with the RD engineer Wade and was informed by him that if I was interested in stocking this fuel, I would have to go through Losi.
Just FYI

They are saying

and

they say start wreachin on a conversion now.......

So sorry to hit you with this ......

Hate to say it, but 30% is going to be hard to come by from some companies. I know a few of them are cutting their 30% off and just making 20% to try and conserve the Nitro.

No rumor, it is all true, call Sidewinder yourself and ask them!
Sidewinder may be the one who started this "RUMOR." Hey, great marketing strategy. Tell your customers there will be a shortage, jack the price, people stockpile and then express how we barely had enough to last the summer thus ending the shortage. Funny how no other companies are worried.

Come on people, the same thing has been going on for far too long with the oil industry. Wake up!

John Force NHRA will not be racing the National , no nitro....

Why ?

Production of Nitro has been suspended in China and will not resume before 2010

The reason for the suspension ?

The production facility has been close down for evironmental reasons .
(They want the air to be clear & clean for the Olympics)

while the production line is closed down , they will be making major improvements & environmental upgrades in these factory`s ...

So ....
We will all still be able to purchase fuel for now because of the current stockpile , but 30% is history and the price for 20% will more than likely double with time..

Just how much more will a racer pay for a gallon ?

$30 easy
$35 bitch
$40 wine & demand a investigation

$60 O-Yeah !
Its possible..... 1/10 gas truck will be king again !!!
