had mbx5t for a year replaced 1 part lower arm was used an average of 3 times a month

had losi 8t for 8 months replaced a lot of parts drivetrain, arms, diffs all due to wear

was a shame as the losi was really nice to drive but required a lot maintanence which isnt really a problem but after coming from the 5t it was a pain

Mugen would prolly be the more stout of the 2.

I'd vote mugen too. Tough as nails. The losi drives really well though. But the mugens look like they do too, I just haven't drivin one.

How about emailing me a full size photo of that avatar?

I put my Mugen through hell and all ive broken is a couple lower arms. Back flips...the works. I couldnt be happier with it.

I race my 8T and it is on rails. I've only replaced the front drive shaft once. Went to heavy duty diff cases. Never have broken anything just a little wear and tear. If you decide with the 8 get the king headz extended engine mount to save bearings. I tear my car apart after every race to ensure all is working properly. This will make any car last longer.
I have heard good things about the mugen as well but never have driven. Heard they have leaky diff cases. Problem may already be solved though.

Hey man, whatever you chose have a blast cause that's what it's all about

Wow!! Leaning more towards the Mugen!! You would think the newer rides would have been tested for these mishaps with the newer technology advantage!!!

I definetly wouldnt get the Mugen only because in a few months it will be outdated. And Iam not a fan of Losi either, I think you should widen your possibilities.

Normally wouldnt the buggy come out first(mbx6?) then followed by the truck version? since the buggy is not out yet and not really expected to be relaesed anytime soon...

I wouldn't count on it comming out any time soon. I say atleast a year from now. that's a guess. Xray is the only company I know that presented a new car design, and had it out in less than 6 months. On time, mugen hasn't been known for speedy production.

They haven't even seen a prototype yet, unless they are doing secret midnight testing somewhere in the middle of the nevada desert. The buggy will come out first then the truggy. The truggy will be replaced, but no word on when.

if you usually get a new buggy or truggy every year, then I'd still buy a MBX5T
