Default Con Rod for Nova plus 21-7

Where can I get a rod for my Novarossi Plus 21-7BT for a good price? I normally buy all my parts at Carolinasrc.com but they don't have them or I missed them. The engine was modded by Jim H. so does it have the same rod as the reg 21-7? I talked to a guy recently that said he has had success with a Go-Tech rod in the Novas. Has anyone else tried this?

Part number NOV07009 is still out of stock at Nova Rossi USA... Everyone is waiting for them to come in. I'll try to remember to post when the come in.

You can call Nitrohouse and we'll backorder it for you, and then call you when they come in. Might be the quickest way, besides getting lucky and finding one on the Bay...

Have Fun...Burn Nitro...

You shouldn't have to make any mods on a Losi. I haven't really looked at the RTR buggy but I didn't think there was any difference in the actual chassis between the kit and rtr. What have you had to do?

I think you will be very happy with your 7BT. Mine is on gallon 4. Still has good compression, still screams. We race on a very fast, almost wide open throttle oval and it really takes a toll on the engines. I am pleased with mine

With the RTR chassis there is no cutout behind the engine mounts for the backplate to sit in. Plus a backplate is needed for an engine, instead of the spin start or a roto-start engine. This is why the RTR uses taller engine mounts than the kits and RR. So a RTR needs some dremel work and shorter mounts to work like the other two 8's. Otherwise an engine with a backplate and short mounts will rub on the chassis when it flexes.

could send you a rod from Australia, you would have it in around 10 days

only thing is you would be paying more to get it...

Cheers Paul.......
