Xray 808, starter box and batteries

a few newbie-questions...

1.) i need a starter box for my brand new 808. will the grey Mugen box fit or is any modification necessary? any other (better) boxes for the 808?

i could not find a picture of the inside of the box:

2.) i am coming from e-buggy and have lots of high quality saddle- and side by side-packs with 4mm gold-plugs soldered to the batteries from my AE B4 and JConcepts BJ4 WE. will they fit into the Mugen box or do i need stickpacks with cables? (dimensions of stick-pack and S-B-S-packs with soldered plugs are not the same - is there enough room around and how are the batteries fixed in the box? )

3.) does the Mugen box come with Tamiya-plugs, Deans, 4mm Gold or nothing?

thanks!

The Mugen box works fine. I think the 2 best starter boxes are the Mugen and Ofna Truggy box.

You can probably get 2 saddle packs to fit and change plugs accordingly, but I am not 100% positive.

it uses 2 stick packs. i would reccomend making your saddle packs side x side then soldering on some wires and connectors and it will work

I can highly recommend the H.A.R.D. buggy starter box, which I have and love it as it will allow you to change orientation of (only 4 screws to remove) the 750 motor, pulleys, bump wheel to work with both 1/10th, 1/8th on and off-road scale types.

I must say damn beautifully designed starter box, but pricey. Paid $125 all silver polished aluminum version.

Accepts 2 x stick packs or 12volt battery

I have used my AE box for the past three summers. No problems and usually spins a new engine over.
