Default Losi 8 Buggy clutch question

Could someone tell me what size each different color clutch spring is that came with my 8 kit.

My LHS manager built my kit for me and he started me out with 4 carbon shoes with gold and silver springs. I want to go to a harder hitting clutch set-up. Should I go to 2-Carbons 2-Alum or 4-Alum? What brand shoes should I use, are Losi's fine or maybe Dyn. Max Lifes?

Its just my opinion, but I think you might like 4 dynamite max life shoes with gold and silver springs. The are very smooth and last a long time too!

You will hate all alum on a buggy clutch. too aggressive, unless you race on a track with unlimited traction.

Try 2 carbon, and 2 max life shoes. carbon with silver springs, max life with gold.

this is what I run for a hard, bumpy track and I like it so far.

I tried the Dynamite Max-lifes this weekend. I used 4 silver springs to get that hard hitting clutch. But the only thing that happened was a wasted set of clutch shoes. I had new CB, new shoes, fresh bearings(greased removed, light oil), new springs. It looks like they melted. So then I dropped springs to 4-gold. But the shoes were wasted by that point, and kind of ruined the day.

So I'll be sticking with the KH 7075 shoes. They always last a couple gallons with maintenance. I'm not sure if I can save the Max life shoes.

Aren't there several different weight KH 7075's?

From what you said I assume that the silver springs are the heaviest. Can someone tell me what each color represents?

If I remember right, there is NOT different weights of the 7075. But KH does make 6061 (softer) or 7075 (harder) shoes to tune with. The 6061 will grab harder but wear out quicker.
