JP has modded Nova engines in black case...was thinking of a JP engine for my buggy, BUT they are pretty pricey and hard to find as well.
I have most of JP's engine tools and I must say they work very well!

The JP's around if you look and they were being blown out by PDL a while back, but thats gone now. They generally all have lightened/filled cranks stock or modded, unless its a low version like the 2001 or 2002 B21 series. Even at that, those still have a modded crank. They are fast, I can tell you that.

Im going to be honest with you. I have ran p5's vspec's and sirio's. With out a doubt the best engine I have ever ran is my current one, a rb concept s7 l2g. It was the easiest to break in and very, very easy to tune. I have almost a gallon on mine now and i raced yesterday all day with not one flame out, and the warmest it got was like 245. Another engine I might would try is the new grp.21. As far a servos get futaba or ace

I know a few people that are not happy with the 367. They dont run right straight out of the box.

I am very happy with my Maxy Mod Vspec. It gets over 10 mins of runtime with the associated pipe. It actually feels perfect on my 808.

Has Nova fixed the problems with the 367?
What kinds of problems does it have out of the box?
I don't understand how a motor does not work as it should when it is brand new out of the box.

What flaws were found?
What are the fixes if any?

Shit, I almost bought the 367 package today! I might still get it haha

Stock they suffer from ghost flameouts. I think they add a shim and use different plugs than come with the kit to fix it.

I've read through most of the 367 threads and to me it sounds like the owners aren't tuning it properly or the shimming is off or wrong plug (#6, 7 plugs work) and possibly cheapo fuel. Oh yeah, short break-in periods could be another.

Man, what is up with all the drama about ceramic ball bearing blowing up?
