Default Ways to increase the fuel volume to 125ml

My fuel tank seems to be a "bit" off and accepts only ~105-110ml of fuel
(including fuel lines).
The legal is 125ml, how can i increase the capacity of the tank without using feets of fuel line?!!!!
I already have a fuel filter and don't want to use another one.
I will if i have to eventually but how much volume does those large Kyosho fuel filters have?

One way is to very carefully heat the tank while blowing air into it to expand the tank. It's easy to blow a hole in the tank though so be careful if you try it.

Do you have a plug in the tank? The Losi and the AE have plugs that you can take out.

Other than that, try swapping out the tank for something else.

This is an interesting topic. I've been having a bunch of trouble with my Losi 8ight tanks splitting at the seams, and I recently purchased a Mugen MBX5R tank that's supposedly going to hold up better. The tank is noticably smaller, and although I haven't measured the amount of fuel it can hold, I'd be willing to bet it's less than the stock Losi tank. I worry about run times while racing with the new tank, as I surely won't get the same minutes with less fuel.

ahhh yes...the Losi cheater tank. Easily adds about 30seconds to a minute of extra run time for the average club racer.

I think most people are running 2 very large filters. But they take the filter out so it will allow more fuel in it. We run 2 in our truggy. There's an idea see if you can fit a Jammin CRT tank in there.

I am somewhat confused by "losi cheater tank". The tank is legal for pro series and things like that, why is it a cheater tank for club races. I understand the insert, but the rc8 has one also.

I would think it would qualify as a "cheater tank" if you took out the insert/plug thing, but without doing that, I'm not sure I understand why Losi would create a non-legal size tank.

The buggy and the truggy both use different tanks and both have inserts. Both are legal with the inserts removed IF you do not use an external fuel filter.

Any tank and combined fuel lines and filters over 125cc is technically illegal. Few clubs have the time, equipment or inclination to tech this so it's easy to "cheat" by running oversized fuel systems. Go to a nats or worlds or even some regionals and they will tech for total fuel capacity. Otherwise just make up a half gallon tank and never stop.

My track does random checks every so often during normal club races and every1 is called up with there car they check the width that its safe and fuel tank capacity dont chekc the weight though. and they check if we are doing any big race also.
i run the mbx5r i have neve measured the tank capacity but i am going to now currenty i am gettign 10 mins
+ a tankwhich means dont have to pit during are 10 heats.

just checked mbx5r fuel tank when full to the brim holds 115ml

i said "cheater tank" due to this insert....i have rarely seen anyone at the club level run without it, but, then again, i rarely check

Crim3wav3 , your just jealous because you only get 7.5 minute run times with a 6.5 mm restrictor and have no power to blow everyone off down the straight smooth out your trigger finger and learn to carry your speed more efficiently and you too can get 10 minute run times
