Default Air Filter tube length?

I was going to relocate the air filter on my 1/8th scale oval car to the hood for scale appearance and run a long tube to the engine, With 2 strokes being senstive by nature will this cause an adverse effect on tuning?

Has anyone run the a long snorkel tube with sucess?

Thanks
Alan

you can run a longer tube it really wont hurt it that much. the tune will change slightly but not that much. you should be fine.

I've done that before with a gas truck and didn't have any problems.

Yup, I agree with the others - it works fine. As long as you don't chenge the diameter of the tube used the volume of air doesn't change, so you should have no troubles making the change.
