Default Official HB lightning stadium 2 pro Thread!!

I would make this thread so we dont mix up the buggy and thr truggy treads.

How do you guys se the new truggy?
I have been racing it for some time now, and its keep up with HN and Xray.

But its a bit hard to get parts for it i think. Do anyone know why the "kit" is on the european web-site but not at the US web-site?

What setup do you guys use on you car and have you made any mods to it? Hope we can get this tread going, so we can help HB and our self to gets some wins

When i first got the LS2P, i found the truck too twitchy, steering too sensitive, rear end breaks loose too easily. And worse of all, the truck kept veering to one side when i WOT. After 2 months of messing with the setup, i am finally happy with how it performs on the track. But it is difficult for a enthusiast like me to make this truck competitive at the track, for the simple reason the parts support is too slow in being released. Some new parts have trickled in to my LHS, like steering rod ends, sintered brake pads, hinge pin holder. But if i break an arm or rupture a fuel tank or damage a cvd or break a bodyshell, i am finished. And Amain doesnt carry any of the new parts for the LS2P. And to date, there are no spring options for the LS2P. It uses the long buggy white springs which are incompatible with the shorter spring options for the older LSP-R. I have tried the long buggy yellow springs, but they are too soft and useless. So i dont know, this LS2 Pro kit, doesnt seem that Pro to me. By the time HB gets their act together, i think this truck will be obsolete already. What am i saying, in fact this truck is obsolete already, all the other trucks have big bores and numerous spring options! Kyosho, Losi, Jammin...... Now i know why Travis and Atsushi cant make it with Hot Bodies.

I have the same problem with getting parts to the truck, it seems like HB dont take the truck serious.
I cant get in to my head that you would make a new truck but dont send spare parts out for it...
I really hope that this will change in a short time because i race the truck here in denmark. Or els you would have to go to a nother brand, like HN or xray
I hope that some ppl from HB read this so they can see thats its not working with the truck at the moment.

My setup is:

Front diff: 5000 Maybe i try 7000 to get a bit more on-power steering
Middle diff: 20,000
Rear diff: 2000 Maybe i try 1000 to avoid it to be to nervous on power

My engine is a STS 28 With standart HN pipe and 13 clutch

Rear shock position: Inner lower on tower and outer on arm
Front shock position Inner lower on tower and outer on arm

If you need more info just ask and I will get more to you.

7,000 in the front will help, also maybe a few mm less droop in the front.

Okay but do I need to put more preload on the springs to prevent it to be to low in the front?

No on the preload.
There should be a set screw in the suspension arm that limits the total down travel.

Turn that screw in so that it limits the front arm down travel a few mm less then they travel now. Just make sure your down travel is equal left to right.

What springs is everyone running? I had red springs all around and it felt too soft. Should i switch to blue or black springs? I am running 35wt oil all around.

And on race days i change it also during the day, so I cant give you a answer to that.

I was out at the Ohio State Series last weekend with my Lightning Truggy. 8 minutes into the main my left front C-Hub broke. I got it fixed and there were only 2 minutes to go. I ended up getting 9th out of 13. If that hub wouldn't have broke I could have probably got top 3.

If anyone is interested I put one of my Hot bodies Truggies up for sale on the for sale/trade forum. The only reason i am selling is because i want to get a good race mt for my brother.
