Regarding weight, what is the closest any of you have gotten the car to the legal weight? Is it easily achieved?
I'm starting to get a bit more serious with my cars now and looking for any advantage I can get mechanically.
Any input would be great thanks
I've been down around 3260 but not any lower than that. Ti screws are nice, I run them in all the common areas. Basically, whatever size screws you get in the kit are the places you should use them. If you didn't get a size you want to use, you shouldn't use a Ti screw there. The aluminum pivot balls will give you a sizeable weight reduction too. Here's all the ones you need, 1ea for an entire car:

92653H 5.8mm Sway Bar balls hard
IFW416 6.8mm Steering Link balls outer hard
IFW417 6.8mm Steering Link balls inner hard
IF462H 5.8mm Servo link balls hard
IF463H 7.8mm Rear Inner link balls hard
IF464H 6.8mm Front upper arm balls hard
IF465H 7.8mm Rear Outer link balls hard
W0201H 5.8mm Lower sway bar link balls hard
W0204 6.8mm Lower Shock end balls hard

Tires, wheels, and foams affect the overall weight as well and are often forgotten about.

In addition to the stuff Sean mentioned, you can actually go under weight with titanium hinge pins, turnbuckles, additional misc titanium screws from Lunsford (the big 4mm cap head ones that secure the A block, the front shock tower, the wing stay to rear tower, 3mm upper out turnbuckles to hubs, those long 3mm ones that secure the upper rear chassis brace and wing stay, aluminum nuts, titanium lower shock pins, kit chassis ceramic bearings and Radio Post servos. I say RP because that's what I had in my car at the time. KO hard case servo are hEaVIer. This is with the car ready to run including body, no gas in tank.

My M2C Chassis and M2C Motor Mount have a gallon 1/2. I discovered yesterday my clutch bell still hits. Not as violent, but still hits.

dollarhobbyz has shock towers claiming to be if477. but are a different colour.

Take a look at Jenny's RC (JRC) on ebay. That's usually a good place to get parts. They are off the standard tki3 kit. Dark brown anodized.

@Lochlan/kyosho- that is the replacement tower for the TKI3. It is gold hard anodized (HA). It carries the same part number as is listed in the manual, but the tower that comes in the kit is brn anodized. It is not sold separately by Kyosho. If you need it replaced you have to buy the gold HA tower which is what your link is. The same goes for the anodizing and availability for the front tower, shock bodies and chassis. Someone on here proved, by measuring with calipes, that the HA chassis is a tad thicker than the kit chassis. I'm still using the kit towers and don't know if there is a slight thickness difference in the towers.

@Coneman- Depending on how bent your tower is, you may be able to just bend it back using a vice and a pair of pliers. We ran on blue groove all summer and it was very brutal on the cars. I bent two front towers and bent them both back. I thought they'd be a lot weaker or break on a subsequent crash or bend more frequently, but it's really hasn't been an issue.
